Kate specialises in high-end commercial photography, creating clean, polished imagery for brands, agencies and businesses. Her work has been recognised at the highest level within the UK professional photography industry, including winning MPA/BIPP Advertising Photographer of the Year and major fellowship awards.
She’s known for sharp styling, strong visual storytelling and a calm, meticulous approach on set — whether we’re building a product campaign, photographing interiors, or creating a consistent image library for a growing business.
Paul is a commercial photographer and filmmaker with a background in advertising, PR and corporate imagery. He’s a multi award-winning photographer (including UK Photographer of the Year titles) and is regularly invited to judge, lecture and contribute to professional standards within the industry.
Alongside client work, Paul leads photography training for individuals and organisations — practical, friendly tuition designed to get better results fast, whether you’re using a DSLR, mirrorless camera or a phone.
That’s the core team — just the two of us — a family-run studio based in York, working with businesses across Yorkshire and beyond. We also have trusted support on hand when a project needs additional skills (such as design, retouching or product set-build).

Professional qualifications and fellowships
Bailey-Cooper Photography is run by two highly experienced professional photographers, Paul and Kate Cooper, who have been working professionally since 1995. Both Paul and Kate have been awarded Fellowships by the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Master Photographers Association (MPA) — distinctions that recognise sustained excellence at the highest professional level. Kate Cooper has also been awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS), one of the most respected photographic honours in the UK.
In addition to their commercial work, Paul Cooper has played a significant role in shaping professional photographic standards in the UK, including serving as Chair of Qualifications for both the BIPP and MPA, and contributing to the development of the current UK photography apprenticeship framework. This depth of experience underpins every assignment, ensuring work that is technically robust, commercially effective, and professionally delivered.
Bailey-Cooper Photography is a York-based photography and video studio specialising in product photography and packshots, business headshots and corporate portraits, and photography training for individuals and organisations. We also produce photographic prints and wall art (including landscapes and city photography) via our online shop, and license stock photography and stock video worldwide.
